I called her today to know how she's doing and all that...We were chatting about different things, and she mentions that she was in the Circuit Assembly today...And then it went like this...
"Have you gone to any of the meetings since you moved to Texas?", she asked.
"Nope."
"Are you ever going to do it?"
"I don't think so, mother. No, I won't", I replied.
"Why?", she asks in an odd, sweet tone.
I then proceeded to explain in general terms that I've been through years of research, investigation, and lots of blood, sweat and tears to finally understand that the Organization is just another group of people seeking to worship in their own way, just like every other religion in the world.
"So what are you now, Catholic?" she asked with a laugh.
"Nope. If I'm going to choose a spiritual belief, I'll tell you I'm a son of God and the Universe", I replied.
So to make a long story short, she didn't want to hear anything about my research, and we just decided to respect each other's beliefs. I'll do so, I don't know yet about her. We'll see...

I have let go, at different moments of my life, a humble but much loved (and nicely worn-in) Mexican Fender Telecaster, and also my old Danelectro U2. Not anymore.
My love now is with my Reverend guitars (thus my nick here), especially the Club King 290...That one stays with me for ever. That, and my Amptramp custom amplifier.

You know it's the Truth though right?
by freedomfighter insince i have been out i have bumped into witnesses at the supermarket where i work, as you do.
some have the balls to say "hi" and "hang in".
others have bigger kahunas and actually talk to me - this doesn't go unappreciated by me.

That comment is also a way for them to get some sort of reassurance to bury their own inner doubts...

Death is a Terrible thing...
by KW13 inhas it sunk in for you people that your going to die yet?
i'm still avoiding the thought but it lurks in the back of my mind, i'm aware someday i've got to address it - like many here i didnt expect to live this far in this system, so i haven't any plan for life as of yet.. death frightens me.
i cannot sometimes watch a film with death of a character in a tragic way - there one moment with family/friends and a life and then not...i read the story about challenger the rocket that exploded and how the crew onboard that shuttle may well of been aware they were going to die.

Yeah, we will all die. So, let's make this life good, fun, and make other people happy, because it's their only life, too. I won't worry if there's anything after death, or even more odd, before birth. What matters is here, now. You, your family, your friends, your community. What about all the problems we have? Hey, that's called LIFE. And part of living your life is toughing it out through all your problems. Let's face it, after we face hardship, we feel pride when we tell out story to others. So it's all good, in the end. I have a wonderful wife, and two children, and all I want now is for us to be happy. Happiness is not something you actually get, but it is rather a by-product of how you live. So make it good. Everything in the universe has a birth, life and death. From galaxies to micro-organisms. We're all part of a freakin' huge cycle. Let's embrace this and enjoy what we have, and look forward to whatever good things we can bring to our lives and to the lives of others...

Do Most Witnesses know about UN SCANDAL?
by Abandoned init seems to me that most witnesses still don't know about the un scandal.
since it has been such a useful tool in helping people see the truth about the lying duplicity of the watchtower, how can we get this message out to more in the organization?
-
Reverend Warhawk
I talked about this with a JW friend before moving to the USA. Told him about the letter from the UN, etc. What did he reply? Guess... "Surely, you know the world belongs to Satan, so some apostate in the UN must've put out that letter to damage the Watchtower!"
